ok finally pulled the trigger on the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2. ~$449. two weeks in, here's the honest review
review: picked up the Anker C1000, verdict inside
specs first, feelings later
1000W output, 1800Wh-ish if you add the expansion, LiFePO4 so it'll do thousands of cycles. runs my fridge, laptop, lights, phone charging no problem. recharges stupid fast off the wall.
LFP is the only chemistry i'll buy now. 3000+ cycles, buy it once. anything not LiFePO4 in 2026 is a scam.
how's it on a full-size fridge though, not a mini
handles my full fridge fine on the 1000W. wouldn't try to also run a microwave AND the fridge at once, that's where you feel the ceiling
that's the C1000's whole thing though right? it's the VALUE pick, not the powerhouse. outdoorgearlab literally called it "best value for most people."
yeah if you want to run a well pump or a 240V appliance you're in EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 territory, and that thing is a 114-lb monster you can't actually carry
114 lbs is not "portable," that's furniture
exactly why i didn't go big. the C1000 i can actually pick up and move. the giant units win on paper and then live in one spot forever because nobody can lift them
what's the catch. there's always a catch
two honest gripes. one — Anker's app is fine but less mature than EcoFlow's, missing some advanced features. two — resale value's lower, SOLIX is still building its name vs Jackery/EcoFlow
don't care about resale, i run these into the ground. the app thing is real though, EcoFlow's software ecosystem is just further along
did you get the solar panel or just wall charging
wall for now, panel later. the point of these guides is size the system to what you ACTUALLY use — i measured my real draw first instead of fantasy-speccing a 5kWh setup i'd never fill
the number of people who buy a 4000Wh beast to charge a phone and a lamp is genuinely funny
counterpoint, if the zombies come i want the beast
if the zombies come your problem isn't watt-hours, mort1cia
