Respect tradition. A true vigenère cipher is ONLY letters. Numbers wouldn't get shifted, they don't belong in the key. Adding the numbers to a key is like adding bacon to a grilled cheese: IT CHANGES IT ENTIRELY. You're living in a fantasy world when you do that.
I don't even care that you used a cipher for something we need. I care that you're ruining the cipher by introducing digits to the key.
