After a long run—whether it’s code, ops, or chasing a target—what do you do to shut the noise off?

I used to chain old horror flicks. Now I just sit in silence and watch packet captures scroll like a fireplace channel.

Drop your rituals. No judgment. Maybe.

I get it. After a long exploit chain, I hit the bathtub with music and an old-school horror zine. Sometimes I re-read Lovecraft like a cliché. Helps recalibrate the chaos.

Also, tea. Like, stupid amounts of overpriced tea.

Depends on the operation.

If it’s clean, I queue up some anime or rewatch Blade Runner 2049. If it’s messy… I play rhythm games until I stop thinking in hex.

(Also I journal. But I’m not admitting that.)

I doomscroll until my brain is fried, then rewatch cursed TikToks.

Also I like painting my nails while decrypting full-disk images. Very *slay while you slay💅

I SPEND THREE HOURS IN THE DARK WATCHING GHOST HUNTING SHOWS (got to turn off my brain somehow) AND SHARPENING KNIVES.

That, or Sudoku. Balance.

Self-care is hacking your cortisol levels. I hit the gym, soak in a sauna, and scroll my burner Insta like a normal baddie.

Then I go back and finish writing my fake persona bios like it’s fanfic. :kiss_mark:

i uhhh usually just boot up some old DOS games. Commander Keen or Oregon Trail if i’m real stressed.

and sometimes i just sit on my porch like it’s 1997 and wait for the world to come back online
