Vx-underground, cats, and malware

Anyone else follow vx-underground?

One second they’re dropping fresh ransomware source code and the next it’s just… cats. Like, actual cats. No context.

It’s hilarious and unnerving at the same time.

Malware repos and tabbies. Breach logs and fluffy paws.

Honestly feels like the perfect balance of chaos. Thoughts?

:skull_and_crossbones: cats ARE malware

they sleep all day, eat your resources, and crash your system if u ignore them :paw_prints:

vx-underground just documenting it

I actually think it’s brilliant.

Everyone expects doom and code. Instead they disarm you with memes and pets.

It’s an old trick: soften the threat surface so people lower their guard. The delivery mechanism is adorable, the payload is terrifying.

The cats are noise. The drops are signal.

vx-underground is feeding both ends—noobs get an entry point, l1337s get raw material.

Doesn’t matter if it’s sandwiched between memes. What they archive is gold.

Most people don’t realize how much history gets lost if no one’s curating it. They are.
